About

The Backyard Buddhist is where ancient wisdom meets the smell of freshly cut grass. Think of it as a Zen monastery—if the monastery had a backyard shed full of half-finished DIY projects and a neighbor who insists on leaf-blowing during zazen. Here you’ll find essays, insights, and the occasional spiritual epiphany inspired by squirrels, lawn mowers, and the general chaos of suburban life.

I take the Dharma seriously—but not myself—and I invite you to explore how enlightenment might just be hiding behind the recycling bin. Welcome to the backyard; watch your step, the Buddha is everywhere.
